I miss rainy days in the city.

All Rights Reserved.

It's been a few days it will be more than a year and a half since I've been to this beautiful city. I miss the sound of the rainwater on the street as cars drive through big and small potholes and puddles. For some reason even though the streets are busy during rush hour, the rain makes everything calm. It's soothing and makes me forget about the chaos. The wet streets softly reflect the orange and red traffic lights and make for a warm glow.

When it rains in the city time feels like it's slowing down - even the train ride is less chaotic. Everyone is wet and sits still as the train rocks from side to side. Nothing else matters because you know you'll get home and take all your wet things off and sit on the couch too lazy to get up to make something warm.

2. If you have some batter left, try frosting some flaming torch cupcakes like Heather Christo.
3. DIY ski doll toppers out of clothespins on Spoonful.
4. Make your own Olympic gold medals with a tutorial by Snowdrop and Company.
5. Watch a fun, little stop motion video for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games by David Clayton.
